Stop underearning in the veterinary profession💸💸💸💸

Time = money?

Yes, in a sense! Let's talk about time first:

I know sometimes it doesn’t feel like it’s a choice how we spend our time.

But you’re always choosing, consciously or subconsciously, what you want to do with the 24 hours you’ve been allocated between sunsets.

When you’re not choosing on purpose, it will feel like time is slipping away, like sand through your fingers. You are likely to feel behind, like you’ll never finish your tasks.

We then start multitasking, trying to keep up with everything.

We’re not prioritising what’s important, and whatever comes to our attention gets dealt with first, without assessing if it really is the most urgent item.

In the clinic, this trying to do everything at once and having our brain in several places is actually being reflected on our economical impact on the practice. Which will in turn make it harder to ask for a raise, and will keep us underearning.

Because we are not centred on one thing, and we feel we need to rush to the next thing, we might do less tests, and forget to charge the ones we do.

We struggle to decide on the next step with a patient, because our brain is already thinking of the next case (s). This indecision takes time.

Then we feel bad because we don’t think we’ve worked the case with all our attention, and feel the impulse to charge less, to make up for our perceived insufficiency.

It’s not the workload that makes you flustered, stressed and scattered. It’s your brain not coping with the workload.

This is exactly what I coach busy veterinarians on. On how to manage your mind around ANY work load, ANY shit show hitting the clinic, in the best way possible.

As you learn how to manage your time efficiently, and have a much better overview of your day, you’ll have the mental capacity to bill everything correctly, give solid estimates, and work more cases without hustling.

You won’t be filled with self doubt causing you to under-charge, or stuck in indecision that will rob you of time performing exams and diagnostic tests.

If you have this constant feeling of not being in control, and always behind, struggling to concentrate and work through your cases, then you must check out my coaching programme and course.
