Problems? 👀

Problems? 👀

My mum’s friend says she wakes up every morning thinking: “ What can I worry about today 🙃?”

She PARTLY says it as a joke, but it’s a reality for a lot of us! We wake up and straight away start worrying about all our problems, right?

Thing is, a problem is not a problem until YOU make it into a problem, by thinking about it and attributing that meaning to it.

What may be a problem for you may not be a problem for someone else:

For example, it could be a problem for you that you have a certain debt.

THAT is not a problem for president Trump - and his debt is guaranteed bigger than yours! 💰💰

You may see it as a problem that your friend is always late for your meetings.

That might not be a problem for your friend - otherwise they would be on time.

Is it a problem that not all pet owners have taken out pet insurance?

Maybe for some, but not for everyone in the world.

Before you spin out and stress over something, just realise you don’t HAVE to make it a problem.

Also, human life is actually just a series of problems.

We are always trying to get on top of them; thinking that when we FINALLY can solve everything going on in our life, THEN… we can relax/enjoy/live life.

You’re never going to solve all the “problems” in the world. You’re not even MEANT to
. And a lot of them are actually not even problems, just stories your brain is making up around different situations in life.

When you can take a breath, step back and get a perspective, then you are able to break free of this constant-worrying-needing-to-solve-every-problem mode you may find yourself in.

How do you do this?

When you find yourself spinning in worry and trying to solve unsolvable problems:

1️⃣ Breathe, and notice what you’re feeling.

2️⃣ Write down your top 5 “problems”, and what the worst possible scenarios are.

3️⃣ Decide between the 3 categories:

🤷🏻‍♀️ IS it really a problem?

🤷🏻‍♀️ Do I need to solve.. at all?

🤷🏻‍♀️ Do I need to solve... RIGHT NOW?

How are you feeling after doing this exercise? Notice any difference?
